Tradition meets modern comfort – since 1930

A house with history – since 1930
On Maundy Thursday, April 17, 1930, the Niedersächsischer Hof was opened by hotelier Heinrich Pieper – in a prime location between the train station and the old town. Even back then, the hotel was considered Goslar’s top address.

Luxury, technology and theater flair
With a telephone in every room, running water and a stage for performances, the hotel set new standards. Music, comfort and cosmopolitanism made the hotel famous far beyond Goslar.

Glamor & guests on the big stage
From international musicians to celebrities from the worlds of politics, art and culture – the hotel’s guest book is still filled with well-known personalities, including Reinhold Messner, Heidi Kabel and Sigmar Gabriel.

Decline & new beginning
After closure and forced sale in 1992, a new phase began with the purchase by the Volksbank in 1996. After extensive renovation, the building was ceremoniously reopened on April 1, 1998.

Hotel & art combined
In cooperation with the Mönchehaus Museum, the hotel has been furnished with over 300 works of art. Each room becomes a gallery – a place of encounter with modern art at every turn.

Today – part of Concorde Hotels
The Niedersächsischer Hof has been part of the Concorde Hotels Group since 2010. With 63 rooms, conference rooms and a dedicated team, the hotel is once again what it once was: the first hotel on the square.
